I’ve been dropping pump sessions for a few months and it feels sooooo emotional. Currently pumping twice a day and this week I’ve seen another dip in my supply. This is all planned so I know I shouldn’t be surprised but it still makes me sad. A part of me doesn’t want this chapter to end and another is so grateful to have gotten this far.
We’re still working through my son’s milk allergy so I’ve been supplementing with Ripple Milk for kids. His morning bottle is usually only breastmilk and I know that in the next few days this will change. Also doesn’t help that he’s going through a bit of a food strike because he’s teething.
Thanks for the support & advice! I had no idea I would feel this emotional. It literally comes in waves. & yes! We’re giving baby boy whatever we’re eating and hoping he’ll accept it. Pouches and tractor wheel bars are his thing now.
From what I’ve read, it’s normal to have a huge hormonal change when you wean for breastfeeding/pumping. I haven’t gotten to that point yet myself as a first time mom. Your son is so cute!
I should’ve done a bit more research beforehand. The hormones are def getting to me, and I think I still have a few more weeks to go. & thank you so much mama!
