There was road construction when I was at my old address and the contractors drilled into the basement right above our storage. Bits of silica, dust, and concrete made a lay over everything. Sadly, one of those things was the stroller we had for our son. My husband was really upset. He’s worked with concrete and knows the danger of inhaling dust particles and potential of chemicals leaching into skin, he wanted no part of that near our at the time 2 month old baby. He called the company and told them the situation. We told them how much the stroller cost and that we just wanted to go on walks with our son. They made it right. We didn’t get money, but we got a complete car seat stroller system since the pieces could not be purchased separately. In the end it turn into a blessing. Blow outs or spit ups are crazy and completely unpredictable, we found out quickly how lucky we were to have the second car seat. Being able to have a clean car seat on stand by has been a luxury I will always be grateful for. The cover and straps are removable and washable, but when you’re in a hurry and NEED to be somewhere, waiting for a washer and dryer can mean canceling plans completely. It also helps having two separate car seat bases so you don’t need to switch things over from vehicle to vehicle. If it’s within your budget and means, I highly recommend a second car seat if you’re on the go with your little one a lot. I’m currently washing spit up out or car seat #1.

This is a great tip that I have not seen many mom’s post about. It is a great idea. If it’s within one’s budget to purchase two car seats. We personally have two and it has made our life much easier.
