One thing that has really helped me is to let my daughter play with my hair while she nurses. As you know, when your baby is more aware of their surroundings, they have a difficult time focusing on nursing. My daughter always hold onto my hair and runs it through her fingers almost every time she nurses now. Sometimes I give her a stuffed animal or a toy to play with while she nurses, and that works out really well too.

That is so cute 
Whenever I let my daughter play with my hair she likes to pull it. I also have really curly hair so she always likes to play with it and sometimes eat it so I have to keep an eye on her.
