One thing I try to make sure to do for myself is to take a shower alone once a week. My daughter will not bathe without me in there with her. I don’t mind taking a bath or showering with her…it’s just nice to be able to turn the water really hot and just stand there enjoying every moment of it. So my husband will watch her so I can take a 30 minute shower. This week’s shower was the first time in 18 months I did not feel guilty for not brining my daughter with me. She has so much fun in the water!

As a single mom I bring my baby in the shower with me almost every shower too so when she’s finally in a deep enough sleep for me to shower alone it makes me so happy

Yes my littles love to shower with me but I definitely love to shower alone and take as long as I want. I try to get my showers done in the morning before my husband has to leave or in the evening after everyone is asleep.

lol it’s so hard. Ever since my toddler could crawl I rarely get a shower by myself

Once a week !!! I need an alone shower every other day or I’ll cry hahahahahaha you are AMAZING and an incredible mother I love that and I’m sure as my son gets older this will be my reality as well

I’m so glad you get to shower on your own. I know how you feel. When my son was younger he would cry at the door because I had a bath by myself. It broke my heart and told my husband to open the door

That sounds so nice to get one every other day! My daughter is going through a thing right now where she won’t bathe without me in there with her, so I don’t want to have to take a shower and a bath in one day. She suddenly stopped wanting to be in the bath alone and would just cling on for dear life!

I know it can’t be like this for too long. I don’t remember ever showering with my mom as a kid. I remember her giving me a bath once and that’s it. So I would think by the time they are 5ish that we get alone showers all the time again?? I’m just guessing here lol
