Becoming a mom…. especially to newborn triplets…. has taught me just how selfless motherhood really is. Every minute of my day is spent making sure three tiny humans have everything they need. It’s easy to forget that I matter too.
My stillme moment happens during those rare, magical moments when all three babies are asleep at the same time.
I gently settle each of them into their Moses baskets, place them right beside my vanity, and take a quiet moment for myself. As I wash my face, work through my skincare routine, and put on a little light makeup, I can’t help but look over at them and think, I created these beautiful life’s.
It’s a moment that fills me with gratitude…. but it also reminds me that I deserve a little love too.
There is something so refreshing about having a clean, moisturized face and being put together. It doesn’t change the sleepless nights or the endless diaper changes, but it changes how I feel. I stand a little taller, hold my head a little higher, and feel ready to take on whatever the day brings as a single mom to my three beautiful baby girls.
Motherhood asks so much of us, but taking even ten minutes to care for ourselves isn’t selfish…. it’s a reminder that we’re still here, too.
Because before I was “Mom,” I was me. And I still am. ![]()
