Bottle

Hello mams’s,

Lately I am hearing a lot about glass bottles are better than plastic bottles. Any thoughts?

I haven’t used glass bottles before because they scare me a little if one broke but a lot of moms on here recommended them and love them.

I’ve never used glass but I could absolutely see them being better at least knowing your nit heating up plastic and stuff like that

With my first we used Medela that was before plastic came out as leaking Miroplastics. Now we do glass mostly. I have life factory and dr browns. We put silicone sleeves on them to protect them from breaking. So far we haven’t broken any. If we use the plastic ones I will still warm up in either the portable bottle warmer or in a glass jar to avoid heating the plastic up.

Follow up question:

Lot of people will thaw and warm the milk in the milk storage bag. Is that safe?

I had glass bottles for awhile, but gave them away because my daughter won’t take a bottle. Glass is definitely better than plastic because of the microplastics, like you said. Even if the plastic says bpa free, they’re not completely safe when you heat them up. I have some bpa free plastic bottles that become soft when heated up. That should not be happening!

I’ve often wondered this myself
