Breastfeed

Something that will always leave a mark on my heart is my Breastfeeding journey that I’m still doing right now, but it is something that I never ever thought I would be successful at. I have ups I have downs, but I have stayed the course. Currently my period is pending so my milk is basically gone. I just keep latching. I am so so so incredibly sore but it reminds me of how strong I am

It’s a time I won’t ever forget either! I was thinking about getting breastmilk jewelry made to have a little memento to always remember.

It’s so frustrating during that time of the month. I wonder why this happens?

I read about it and supposedly it’s because of the hormones that allow us to have periods. But if we know that, why can’t we figure out how to like take a supplement??

I remember before I had my baby. I had a big stock of formula because I was so fearful about how Breastfeeding would turn out.

I hate that you’re sore. Because I can feel it when you said so so so incredibly. I dont like that feeling but we gotta to. How incredibly awesome the love we have put to our family. Weather we feel sore or not :two_hearts: Hugs

You would think someone would have figured something out! I had a bunch of formula before I had my baby just in case too. I finally got rid of it all last week actually! I took it to our baby resale shop, and they gave them away for free to someone who needed it.

As someone who has had 3 previus short breastpumping Journeys I completely understand where You are coming from. Fun fact periods dont always affect milk supply, its us mothers who worry too much about it affecting us that we become so stressed. I was told by a lactation specialist that you can take mangesium and calcium the day you start ovalating until you get your period that should avlud it but to also not think about it. I personally have never done that and during my periods my supply increases. The only thing I do is put in 1-2 extra sessions in the day of my period.

I wish you the absolutete best I knwo how hard it is to have such a big dip.

I’m def trying magnesium and calcium ! My lactation told me it’s only a small dip but I def know for me it’s huge and nothing to do with the stress of it or thinking it will. I literally only know my period is coming bc I wake up and all of sudden I have 1-2 ozs total for my big morning pump ! And then with out fail it comes one week later. Then once I get it, it boosts back up! Like I’m saying without a doubt - I don’t even track my period, I only know because mh supply tanks!!
