C-section mommas! If I could give you one tip it would be to stay calm and then when you are given the chance get up and WALK!
When I had my C-section I was SO nervous. This was my first ever surgery and my first child. I shook , cried, and was SO COLD. I thankfully had the BEST anesthesiologist and she calmed me down and after the inserted my spinal block and brought my partner in everything calmed down. My anesthesiologist kept me updated on what they were doing and time seemed like it was dragging, after what seemed like a hour (was only like 9 minutes) I heard my little dude cry, and none of what had just happened mattered, all I could think about what my little.
I was closed up and then taken to my room, and they brought my boy in shortly after that! At about 8 pm that night (surgery was at 7:30 am) they gave me the chance to get up and walk. I had recalled many people telling me it helps the healing process, so I got up and I walked!
I continued to get up and walk and even took a shower. I was discharged the next day around lunch! While at home I was able to get up and move around! I still couldn’t lift anything besides baby, but I felt AMAZING and was able to continue to be active ever since!
