Challenges being a mother

Right now my major challenge is morning sickness and being tired all the time.

The mornings have been rough my son who is almost 17 months is still nursing and has been extra clingy so much so he now joins us in bed in the middle of the night. This makes waking up and taking care of myself more challenging which then results in morning sickness kicking in. He wants to nurse as soon as he wakes up. I’ve tried so many different things but the second I try to stand up in gagging. Ugh. I have contacted my midwife to get medication to hopefully help. But I does come with dizziness side effects.

Being a mom of 2 boys and starting back to work while pregnant definitely is challenging. While both boys are adjusting to their new routines in daycare and school. I am running around dropping off, picking up, stopping at daycare to get my youngest to sleep and nurse him, to going home have a nap just to get my oldest. It’s exhausting. But I also wouldn’t have it any other way. I feel blessed to be able to grow another baby.

I start back to work on Monday and life is hopefully less juggling. Ill be working with my youngest son so I won’t have to commute to get him to sleep. He’s pretty stubborn and only will go to sleep for me. I’m hoping over time my coworkers will be able to get him to sleep to give me the much needed break.

I’m sorry :disappointed_face: morning sickness can be so debilitating, I really hope it comes and goes sooner rather than later ! I also hope the medicine helps a lot, you are so strong I could hardly get out of bed when I was sick but motherhood calls! I get it!! Hang in there :two_hearts::pleading_face::people_hugging:

Omg am I late or something? How far along are you? I had the morning sickness for the entire first trimester and some of second, it’s no joke. Especially while still having things to get done. My OB gave me medicine but I never took it, I just pushed through. I hope you get your medicine soon and that you feel better. :heart_hands:t5:

I wish I could just stay in bed. But kids need their mama so I push through. I’ll find out tomorrow if the meds work :crossed_fingers:t3:

I’m 7 weeks and 1 day. It’s still super early. I’ve had morning sickness with my first two. My second was the worst and the meds didn’t fully help. With both of them it lasted till mid way through the second trimester. I had a bit of a break before GD kicked in. Thank you. I’m hoping it works this time.

Thank you! Chances are it will be a boy. All my husband’s brothers have boys. I’ll be shocked if it’s a girl. My oldest wants a baby mama (sister) lol.
