✨ COMMUNITY Check-In ✨

Happy Sunday mamas !!!I hope everyone had a great week and even better weekend I also hope you don’t mind me checking in with you all! My momcozy Community village you all do so much for me so this is my way of showing how much I care and appreciate you all :white_heart:

I was thinking it would be fun to try the Sunshine, Shades and Seeds

It’s very similar to Rose, Thorns and buds, I really like this prompt so here’s how it works

:sun: SUNSHINE — What brought you joy?

Share one little moment that made you smile this week. It could be something big or something as simple as a peaceful cup of coffee, a baby snuggle, getting outside, or just having a moment to yourself.

:sun_behind_small_cloud: SHADE — What felt heavy?

What challenged you this week? What could use a little extra support, understanding, or kindness? You don’t have to sugarcoat it here. :white_heart:

:seedling: SEEDS — What are you growing toward?

What are you hoping for, looking forward to, or planting for the week ahead? Maybe it’s more rest, more movement, more time outside, a little patience with yourself, or simply making it through the week one day at a time.

:sun:SUNSHINE — What brought you joy? My baby learned to say mama dada and bye bye and it’s the sweetest thing!

:sunglasses: SHADE — What felt heavy? My oldest two have had some health issues (nothing super serious) and we are trying to get those figured out.

:seedling:SEEDS — What are you growing toward? Just slowing down a little and taking a breath and enjoying time with my family this week.

Sunshine: my daughter is trying to say so many new words!

Shade: learning that it’s okay to let my daughter cry when she wants attention while I’m getting chores done

Seed: Waking up early again every morning to read my Bible. I’ve been slacking

:sun: SUNSHINE — What brought you joy? My husband and I decided that it will be best to quit my job at the end of the year and raise our currently 15 month old daughter in a homeschool environment.

:sun_behind_small_cloud: SHADE — What felt heavy? Realizing that quitting my job with take away my identity as an employee, but trying to understand that being a stay-at-home mom is a difficult job and is fulfilling in its own way. It’s not only about me anymore.

:seedling: SEEDS — What are you growing toward? After having a miscarriage in July at the age of 37, we are trying to conceive again.

Oh no. Sorry about the mother’s wrist! I tried occupational therapy, wrist support and KT tape and none helped. After I got the cortisone shot, it was much better. Prayers that you feel better.

Wow what a few months you have add I want to start off by saying I completely know the feeling of losing your work identity I have been a stay at home mom for 10 months but the last 10 years I was a park ranger in Yosemite it’s been a wild transition but know it’s just a season and nothing will ever take that identity away from you just right now you are stepping into another role that will just grow and expand your identity more into something incredibly beautiful all around.

Second i am beyond sorry to hear you went through that in July my arms are virtually holding you tight and I am sending you all the positive energy in the world for your next conception :seedling: :sparkles:

You are doing amazing mama seriously

I HAVE BEEN BEGGING THEM FOR THE SHOT! they are putting me through a whole circle of test first but hoping they will sign off on that soon because I am struggling :sob::confounded_face:

Thank you soooo much for that! I needed the words of encouragement. :two_hearts: I was a police officer for 6 years and when I left a few years ago to work from home, oh my did I experience horrible identity loss!

Wow see that to me is very similar to my experience because both of these jobs are HUGE SOURCE OF IDENTITY and if your like me we put so much of ourselves into working hard to become what we achieved

I thankyou for your service and i totally understand you! while my line of work is very different it somehow feels very similar you know!! That uniform isn’t going anywhere and nothing can take away from what you have done and accomplished now you are expanding not changing !!!

Just know I am going through the exact same thing but this is how I try to look at it I guess

Side note that’s paint on my uniform not bird poop :joy:

You are the best! Honestly, my husband and I had that conversation this weekend. I was telling him how much time and effort I put into being a good employee and mentoring others that it’s going to be hard for me not to work as an employee anymore. He asked why I work. I said I love to help others. I love to teach… he’s like, yeahhhh… you will teach our daughter. That will be your job and it will actually be fulfilling. He’s right. I need to get out of the mindset of working for an income. Plus, we want try for a second child.

I appreciate your support and story! It really helped me!

I wish I had started working on the crying thing sooner. She’s already in the habit of crying when she doesn’t get her way. It’s such a hard habit to break

You know what’s so funny, is we had the same conversation. My partner is a boss now and when I was working I was teaching so many how to do a job I loved with little appreciation which is fine by me but my partner told me now I get to teach my son and show him how beautiful the park is and what I love about nature and that will be so much more fulfilling for now!

I love how your husband supports you.

You look stunning and your uniform and I know you look even more stunning as a mama whatever that may look like

My mom uniform is a messy bun and pj pants with milk stains on them hahaha

Crap!!! I think my son is right there too! And he gets me everytime I can’t help but just snuggle him and give in to what he wants (AKA) the remote :woman_facepalming:

Discipline can be so tricky. I’ve been working so hard trying to set boundaries with my daughter. It’s so hard to break the whining and crying habit. I have to literally hide the remote when I’m not letting her watch something, so I know exactly what you mean

I have no concept of where to even start!!! It’s so hard and the toddler days are literally right around the corner :frowning:
