When my cycle shows up it really takes it out of me and makes caring for the little one a bit more difficult. Waking up in the middle of the night for feeds is harder, getting up in the morning to change and feed and hold and play… It’s just that much more taxing when my body is already drained. I wish we could share this physical load, but just having my husband around to help out where he can is good enough. ShareTheLoad
I agree! That time of the months is so much more exhausting than it used to be before having a baby. I definitely nap when my daughter naps during that time
Sleep when they sleep! It’s such good advice! Even if you have to do a bunch of small power naps it’s worth it.
Even a 20 minute nap can leave you feeling refreshed!
I never realized that until after having a baby! Turns out I was actually well rested all those years before. ![]()
I’m not ready for that to come back it is miserable! After I had my 1st baby6 years ago it was so heavy and when I woke up to get her in the middle of the night and walked down the stairs I got dizzy and fell down the steps ![]()
I just got my first one! Seven months pp and I wasn’t expecting it and it does take so much out of you it’s wild!!! Definitely so understanding we need that extra support during that time at least just to get a little extra TLC
That’s so scary! I’m glad you’re both ok! It sucks and I already miss the nine month pregnancy without it versus having this like clockwork every month. Although mines been kind of all over the place since inducing relactation and just being postpartum.
A little extra TLC is absolutely it. Great way to put it! I wish I could’ve gone 7 months without! That’s wild. But of course it always comes back at some point.
Hopefully it will level out for you soon!
Yes! It’s definitely much worse getting a period this go around. I’m way more hormonal than I used to be too. Like I’m an emotional mess lol. And sooo tired
That’s so scary!
That’s a long time. You got lucky there!
It was thankfully it leveled out and went back to normal after a few months and I didn’t have the same issues after my son so I hope I don’t this time when it returns
I hope not too! The last thing you need is to be falling down the stairs again
We were in Ohio for my husbands job so we were in our camper at the time so It wasn’t too many steps but I hit the floor so hard it woke him up
we don’t have any stairs in our house I made sure of that ![]()
Oh no! Good thing you don’t have stairs now. One less thing to worry about!
I’m so glad you’re ok! When I lost my son at 33.5 weeks pregnant I passed out in the bathroom and it was so surreal and such a nightmare. Glad it wasn’t worst than it was.
I’m sorry you had to go through that
