lol I have so many of what I wish I knew. Eczema!! I never had skin issues and nobody in mines or my husband family has eczema so when now toddler ended up getting eczema we were at a loss. From the scratching, flare ups, weepy skin I hated watching her be in pain
Now, after I did so much research and got her allergy tested, her skin is doing so much better. we really struggled at the beginning to keep her skin clear. Her skin started breaking out at 2 months. Below are before and after picture
My son’s skin is dry and at this point i a not sure whether its eczema or something else. He is only 2 months. Someone mentioned thats how eczema starts. I should get him checked out
She is such a cutie!!!Thank you for sharing this! It’s so hard watching our little ones struggle, especially when it’s something you’ve never experienced before. I’m so glad you were able to find answers and help your daughter’s skin improve. She’s lucky to have such a dedicated mama advocating for her.
Oh no, I’m so sorry she went through that. It’s so hard watching our babies uncomfortable and in pain like that. I’m glad y’all figured out what was going on!
She still gets flare ups on her legs and the back of her knees. It isn’t as bad as it was especially since she learned not to scratch her skin raw. It’s usually worse in the winter
Hers started at 2 months as well I would talk to your peds about it. I can say what helped me is first see if he breaks out to aquaphor. If he does he might have a sensitivity to lanolin. What really helped her skin if you want to try is aquaphor body wash, vanicream moisturizer and Vaseline over that to seal it. She was greased up all day lol. Also I only used soap on her maybe 2 -3 times a week. I think they have a baby vanicream I never used that one I just used the regular one. It’s sensitive enough for baby skin. I’ve been using it on my now 6 month old since she was born( my 6 month old does not have eczema)
aww I can totally understand how you felt I was in the same boat 2 years ago when my 2nd baby had it I used to cry alot and blame my self thinking it was my fault and her pediatrian wouldnt really help O also ended up spending nights doing research and see how can I help my baby since nothing will help her she is 2 how and doing much better but ended up making alot of changes on her diet but she bearly has any flare ups now
I’m so glad your baby is doing better . Everything you said I was doing too. Me ped didn’t even wanna say it was eczema at first. One thing is moms are going to do is advocate and find ways to help our babies
