Getting sick when it so gorgeous out never makes sense. We used to just get sick in the winter. I so wish feeding was easier when sick. It’s so hard to nurse when you are all stuffed up. Little man has had a stressful morning but I’m so happy he can rest.

Poor baby I don’t know why but we always seem to get a summer cold as well. Hopefully it won’t last long and he will feel better quickly!

Look at that cute little face! He’s so precious! I’m so sorry he’s not feeling any better. The stuffy nose while nursing can be so hard. When my daughter gets like that is when she especially loves to drink cold breastmilk. Because usually her throat is irritated when her nose is stuffy. Maybe try offering cold water too. The cold helps soothe their throat. I really hope he starts to feel better.

Thank you!!! I’m actually really blessed because he likes cold milk and I don’t have to heat it! Maybe l will try more bottles than nursing right now!

Mine all Loved cold milk as well and it made the transition to cows milk so much easier! It definitely will help soothe his throat.
When my baby was sick last I did a little research and found this to be really cool our bodies are so amazing! So I wanted to share incase any of it helps you.
When your sick baby nurses, a small amount of their saliva flows backward into your mammary ducts and pathogens in their saliva signal your immune system to produce customized antibodies and immune cells that are delivered directly to your baby in subsequent feeds
Use saline spray and a suction bulb to clear congestion a few minutes before feeding and if your baby is having trouble breathing while feeding try doing it in an upright position (like the koala hold) to help them breathe easier.
I didn’t even think about trying to breastfeed upright so that really helped her

Aww poor baby, I hope he feels better it really is hard when they’re sick. I find it they rest so much better when we carry them as they can breathe a bit better. Hope he gets better.
