Finding other mamas who breastfed or pumped and having conversations with them about their experience definitely helped me gain a better understanding of what I was getting into! Not to mention the support as well! Sometimes postpartum can feel so isolating especially after the “newness” wears off and everyone stops checking in, and it feels like your stuck in the movie, Groundhog Day, doing the same thing over and over again. Finding community to connect with, get out of the house and gain support is soooo important! Whether it’s going out with a friend to get to get a small coffee (small because you’re worried about caffeine transfer in breast milk![]()
) or pumping poolside, being about to get out and be surrounded by my community definitely helped me!![]()
I agree it’s so nice to be around people who know what it’s like to know what we’re talking about
This helps so much! Having that support and advice makes a huge difference
Thank you for normalizing how repetitive and lonely postpartum can feel sometimes, this reminder to reach out and get out of the house is so important! ![]()
