2 weeks after my daughter was born, my husband had to go out of state for work for 1.5 months. The day he came back, he was playing with her on the changing table, and did this thing where he put his hands under her bottom and bounced her gently up and down while making an ooga booga sound over and over. She started cracking up! It was the cutest little laugh I had ever seen! I was even able to get it on video and some pics!
Oh my, I can’t imagine not having him there. That smile is absolutely precious. Do you have time now where you have to solo parent?
This is so special. Even after being away, their connection was right there waiting to unlock. That first laugh is pure magic, and the fact that you captured it on video is priceless. What a beautiful moment for your family. ![]()

It was definitely a challenging time doing everything by myself in the beginning as a new mother! I’d say 95% of the time it’s just me taking care of our daughter. My husband has a bad back and works, so everything pretty much falls on me. I don’t mind most of the time
Exactly! They have such a strong bond! My husband was actually the first person to hold her when she was born because I had a C-section. He did the first hour of skin to skin contact with her.
It was definitely a challenge figuring out everything on my own while he was gone
It was such a heartwarming moment! ![]()
She’s definitely a daddy’s girl! ![]()
