Give yourself grace

Iron Infusion Day :yellow_heart:

Today was iron infusion day, and of course my Momcozy pump came with me because breastfeeding doesn’t take a day off.

I remembered the most important thing—my pump. But I forgot my milk storage bags… because I didn’t realize I’d used the last one. :woman_facepalming: And somehow my milk cooler stayed home too.

A few months ago I probably would’ve been frustrated with myself. But postpartum has taught me something important: my brain is still recovering too. Between healing from a C-section, breastfeeding, pumping, sleepless nights, and caring for my little one, it’s okay to forget things sometimes.

So today I’m choosing grace over guilt. :yellow_heart: We spend so much energy making sure our babies have everything they need that sometimes we forget to give ourselves the same compassion.

Please tell me I’m not the only one who’s shown up fully prepared… except for the one thing they actually needed. #MomBrainIsReal

Nope one time I pumped and realized I forgot the bottle at home. I put it beside the bag not in it :woman_facepalming:t2:

You got the iron, you got the pump, now you just need the actual brain. Jkkkk we’ve all been there #Momsbrain

I couldn’t agree more, we should give ourselves grace. One time i carried the bottles, storage bags, the breast pump electric motor and i forgot the other parts.

Ugh iron fusion days are so hard. I sometimes didn’t even think I could drive I’d get so tired.

You’re not the only one! I’ve forgotten my bags before too when I was pumping in the car. I pulled over in a parking lot and dumped them in the grass. It felt so wrong! :joy:

lol I did this one! I had to use a sterile pee cup from the hospital (brand new of course lol)

Iron infusions are tough. I’ve had them before. You are amazing! Mom brain is so real and can last so long! There needs to be more grace for mamas
