Hold Them a Little Longer!

One thing I hope this support list doesn’t leave out is to hold them a little longer! My family gets after me in a joking/loving way for always holding my baby instead of putting her down for naps or whatever. I DONT CARE:rofl:. You only get a newborn for 8 weeks and your baby will grow and it’s numbered how many contact naps you can get. For me, I want them all, all the tiny yawns, sleepy smiles and stretches, the baby who fits perfectly on my chest. Some days, especially the newborn stage, feel endless while you’re in it, until one day it’s over! So hold your baby a little longer and soak it all in. My girl is coming up on 5 months and I’m learning just how fast time flies!

That is such a beautiful picture and yes, I do my best to hold my baby as much as I can, but she has gotten so heavy and now I just let her dad hold her more :face_holding_back_tears:

Thank you! Another tip is to get newborn photos taken! It was a lot getting ready and get out of the house to go take these photos when she was just under two weeks old, but I am so glad I did! I love looking back at these :sob::heart:
