How I increased my supply after a dip

This is your reminder that you CAN come back from a dip in your milk supply. :flexed_biceps:t2:

Consistency really does pay off!

When I got my period, my supply took a noticeable hit. For almost two weeks I was only pumping around 2 ounces during my work sessions, and I was honestly so stressed. I kept wondering if I would be able to recover or if this was just my new normal.

Fast forward to today… we’re on a little road trip, I fed baby before pumping, and these were my results! :tada:

Here’s what helped me get my supply back:

:sparkles: I added my 2–3 a.m. pump back in. Yes, I sacrificed some sleep, but for me it was absolutely worth it.

:sparkles: I also started doing a 5 a.m. pump. These two sessions consistently gave me my biggest output of the day. Prolactin levels naturally peak between 1–5 a.m., so those early morning pumps made a huge difference for me.

:sparkles: I made hydration a priority. I aimed for at least 2 liters of water every day. I drink so much more water when it tastes good, so I started adding Hydro Mom (Blue Raspberry is my favorite! ).

:sparkles: Every day I had a smoothie with 1 teaspoon of brewer’s yeast (I use the flavorless one from Legendary Milk).

:sparkles: I focused on eating balanced meals and continued taking Liquid Gold and Lechita, which I’ve been using throughout my breastfeeding journey.

:sparkles: I also switched to a new pump. I recently got the Air 1, and I truly think it helped. Not only does it work great for me, but having brand-new diaphragms and valves made a big difference in how well I was emptying. I had been using my W1, but I hadn’t been able to replace the parts yet, so the Air 1 arrived at the perfect time!

Every breastfeeding journey is different, and what worked for me may not work for everyone. But if you’re going through a supply dip, don’t lose hope.

Sometimes it really is the small, consistent changes that make the biggest difference.
