Hey guys so I woke up this morning feeling super dizzy, it’s weird we spent all day yesterday outside, photo here for context haha but I thought maybe dehydration so I’ve been drinking water and electrolytes all day thinking it would go away and so far it got worse and then back to how I felt this morning which is still dizzy. Ugh I really don’t want to go to the ER but might have to
I sure wish I had that portable milk warmer right about now hahaha hasn’t come in the mail yet, I could really use some solid advice for breastfeeding moms that need to go to the ER!! Please
Note: I didn’t drink booze or anything that could have caused this so it’s starting to freak me out!
I hate that you are feeling bad! With it being dizziness you need to go get it checked out because you don’t want to pass out and risk hurting yourself. I hate hospitals and drs offices too so I understand completely not wanting to go but you need to take care of yourself so you can take care of your baby
I appreciate you, I totally agree and the scary part is I can’t stand up with my son in my arms I feel like I’m going to fall so my partner has been doing a lot, but yeah you are right
Do you have any good advice on what a breastfeeding mom should bring or do? I’ve never been in this situation before:/
Thank you for your kind words it helps more than you know
Do you have a way to check your blood pressure? It could be that but you definitely should go in any time I feel like that it’s my Bp is too low.
I haven’t been in that situation where I had to go to the hospital while breastfeeding before but I would bring your pumps and if you have a little ice chest or cold bag with an ice pack to keep your milk cold I hate your milk cooler isn’t in yet. Bring a cup of water with your electrolytes so you can stay hydrated.
I really hope you get to feeling better soon. I’m praying for you momma
Okay i actually do have one so I’ll check it now! My blood pressure does tend to drop from time to time, thankyou thats a solid plan! Pump is a great idea i would have probably forgotten! It’s okay we will figure it out but im going to head there now!! Thank you so much for your prayers
Oh no. I hope you get everything figured out and feel better soon. Your pump is definitely needed. Bottles. Breast milk can be a room temp for upto 4 hours but a cooler with ice might help. Bring snacks and whatever your son needs. To warm ask for hot water to warm up his milk. I’m sending you positive vibes!
Oh no, I hope you’re already feeling better… I used to get dizzy sometimes too. Often, I would lie down on the floor to try and make it go away. I saw my doctor about it and she thought it was a hormonal imbalance. I really hope it’s nothing serious!
As for breastfeeding, you can always pump your milk and put it in a lunchbox with ice packs. That should do the trick.
I appreciate that so much! I hope we get it figured it out soon as well, and yes omg thankyou I was sitting here wondering how I was going to warm up the milk! That’s genius wow I appreciate that so much !!
Oh I hope it’s something light !!! They think I may have a sinus infection but I’m am super clear and have no stuffy nose or anything so we will see thank you for the kind words! I’ve never been dizzy like this before and it last so long so it’s definitely spooky! I got my pump and some bags! My diaper bag has a little cooling section I’ve never had to use before so hopefully that works well!!!
Still waiting our local hospital takes a very long time to get anything done but so far just getting fluids which is nice ! I appreciate you checking in that’s so sweet I’ll update yall when I get out of this uncomfortable place
I’m so sorry to hear you are having to be at the hospital. It’s so scary when you’re feeling dizzy like that. You feel so out of control. With as much time as you spend outside, it could be dehydration like you said it maybe heat exhaustion? Let us know how you are doing when you get a chance. Sending prayers!
That was totally it!!! But unfortunately I’m still super dizzy so they told me to come back if it didn’t go away so I’m about to head back now! Darn it
I appreciate everyone for being so sweet and supportive you have no idea how much it means
I have POTS, MCAS and hEDS and get chronic migraines, so I have had many things like this happen. It is definitely scary, especially when you don’t know what is causing it. Praying you get answers and it doesn’t happen again.
