I come from a Latino family and it feels like boundaries have never existed when it comes to babies. My baby is the first grandchild and great grandchild, so my husband and I are the first to set certain boundaries. The biggest issue we’ve had has been no kissing our baby and washing your hands before holding him. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve felt judged, overwhelmed, and just sad. But we’ve kept strong with our boundaries and now at 7 months pp, our family isn’t as judgmental as before. Putting my foot down was difficult at first but now I don’t even hesitate!
