✨ Leaving The House ✨

It took me about 3 months to really leave the house, I was so scared and it just felt too hard, everything was hard. How many diapers would I need? Do I attempt to nurse him in public? What if he doesn’t Nurse? What about my pumping schedule I worked so hard to stick too?? Honestly the list goes on and I just put off leaving as much as I could because we were very safe on our space.:sparkling_heart:

My partner pushed me eventually, I had been wanting to go for a walk for sometime and with other moms, we both knew I love to get out and explore I just needed that extra blanket of security. I eventually listened and I’m so happy I did because it got easier and easier to more I exposed myself to difficult situations. We got down pumping in public, and figured out always bring an extra onsies and more diapers and wipes than you need but WE DID IT! :sparkles:

Honestly it was so much more doable with Momcozy products especially my Air1, Portable Milk cooler and Portable bottle warmer!! :raising_hands::two_hearts:

If you are a new mom and feeling anxious about getting out and living life it’s okay it gets easier with time ! You got this :people_hugging:

Seriously so much easier and it’s okay it was a lot of my mental energy holding me back and I don’t regret anything I think it was a fabulous lesson I can share with others and maybe encourage them to just push past being uncomfortable

Taking it one step at a time is the best way to build up that confidence. It is the key! :ok_hand::flexed_biceps:

I was scared to leave the house when my husband went back to work because I didn’t trust myself buckling her into the car seat correctly :woman_facepalming:t3: I’m a pro now but it would make me panic!

I completely relate to this! Leaving the house felt overwhelming at first, but slowly building confidence made everything easier. You’ve got this, mama!

I remember how hard it was to leave the house when my daughter was born too. I was so afraid of germs. Still am today to an extent. I was definitely an over packer and still take way more than I need when we go out. For my birthday, my dad is sending me a smaller diaper bag that I’ve been wanting. Since my daughter is almost 2 now, I think I’m finally ready to take less stuff when we go out. It sounds really hard to do pumping when you’re out. I’ve actually never done it, so I can only imagine. Sounds like you’ve got a good system down!

Right!!! It is a process and desensitizing yourself to the outside world with a little one, it can be uncomfortable but it’s good to push yourself I like to think

Was it !!! I’m running over to read yours NOW!!! hahah it’s such a big part of postpartum and I feel we just don’t talk about it enough

Yay momma! That first outing is definitely the hardest! We started by just going to extended family’s houses and only just a few weeks ago managed to take our LO out to a restaurant (and that was out of necessity so we had to adjust fast:sweat_smile:) it’s hard but it’s also so fun when all is said and done! :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

I also had the same struggle!! It made me so so nervous I was terrified

Yes 1000 percent it took quite a bit of exposure therapy but eventually I got the hang of it and the anxiety eased :two_hearts: just being patient with ourselves helps a lot :people_hugging:

Oh I am definitely scared of germs !! I went through boxes of the boogie anti bacterial baby hand wipes it’s insane, I still am but it’s easing a little bit! The pumping was HARD!! I really did most of it on the trail and slowly started pumping in public more and more it was such an easy slow process but now it’s a breeze ! The Air1s are very unnoticeable besides the noise hahahah but in loud spaces no one can hear them

Exactly slow and steady!!! It was definitely challenging especially the first time doing it alone !!! But at the end of the day it was fun and so worth it !! Our first time was to a mom walk and play date with all babies and I feel we were all in the same boat so that was a nice introduction
