This summer I want pumping and feeding to “just work”. I don’t want to worry about my supply.
I am normally pretty routine with a morning wall pump every morning. But it was a long night and I’m so tired and I really don’t wanna be tied up to pumps. I broke out my classic M5 and as always, they never disappoint. I honestly didn’t think I’d have much to pull off because little man was up all night eating.
Aww that is the worst! Honestly if I skip just one pump or feeding session, the next day I see it my supply. Or even a day of not drinking water. I sometimes see moms asking for advice about what to do on vacay and moms will say, don’t stress and relax with pumping and I immediately get scared they may take the advice and have a big dip- because I could never survive if I took it easy for a week.
I’m sorry to hear that! Missing even one pumping session will change your milk supply. Changing what time you pump can do it too. I know it can be hard to keep up with when you’re out of the house or on vacation. But just know that once you get yourself back on a pumping schedule, your milk supply will go back up. I need to get better about sticking to a schedule too! And drinking enough water like Barb said!
