My cat was not allowed to jump on my bed when my baby was just born since some of my family members thought cat hair on my cloth may not be good to the baby.
Since my little one is no longer a newborn now, I’m able to enjoy my time with my cat again 
She is also my family member and I’m really lucky to have her 9 years!
