Montessori Toy Rotation #MomcozyCoCreator #Event

Are you tired of buying a new toy for your child, only for them to be bored with it in a few days? You have got to try the toy rotation method! Doing a toy rotation saves me so much money! The last thing I want is to have a ton of toys that rarely get played with. So many parents fall into the trap of buying new toys all the time, and it gets so expensive. Babies can easily become overwhelmed if they have too many options, so having a toy box sitting out can be too much for them…plus that’s a lot of toys for you to pick up later! I use a toy bin organizer, but some parents set out small baskets or even just have the toys lined up on the floor. I had 5 toys out at a time when my daughter was younger, but now I do 8 toys. I try to have several different categories of toys available so there is a nice variety. When your baby doesn’t play with a toy for a day or two, it’s time to switch it out for a different toy from the closet. It’s like having a brand new toy to them! The shape sorter, stacking rings, and Mrs potato head are our favorites so far! They’ve been out for the last 6 months! #MomcozyCoCreator

Toy rotation is something I think about almost every single day and then something I don’t do every single day… I so want to do this and you are giving me the encouragement that I need

That’s so awesome that you’re already doing it! I used to have all her toys out and she would just pull every toy out of the box without playing with any of them. Like the excitement was the act of taking everything out!

I started out buying new toys all the time, and it got to be too much. She’d play with a toy for a couple minutes at the most and then was done with it. She had a pretty short attention span. Now she plays with her toys for much longer and she is getting creative with them. For example, she tries to shove everything that will fit into the back of Mrs potato head!

Yeah I think my son likes that part the most too hahaha but I got a little overwhelmed with too many out so I just rotate them and then he thinks he is getting something new every few days

So smart! You’re already on top of things! It’s fun to see them get excited about a toy they’ve had for awhile.

It’s so cute isn’t it?! Now that you mention it, I still have all my pre pregnancy clothes boxed up. They’re in a shed that has a bunch of rats in it, so I haven’t gotten it out yet. It will feel like Christmas when I finally get them. Some day…

Lol! I’m hoping my clothing boxes are well sealed. I have a feeling I just folded the edges in instead of taping them shut. Hopefully the rats didn’t break in and make a nest in my clothes!!!
