What helps me balance motherhood and my personal life is the absolute village of people that have been with me since day 1!
Almost a year ago (on Halloween) we announced our pregnancy to family, and since that day they’ve been there to support me and my husband. Going to appointments when my husband couldn’t, asking after mine and baby’s health, planning showers, and just being overall involved. And for the last 4 months theyve been even more present. They’ve been there to babysit when my husband and I need a date night, have provided baby items just because, or have watched our LO while both of us work so we don’t need to fork out money for daycare. They do so much for us and we still have people saying to let them know if they can help. The line of people that want to help us is seemingly neverending and I couldn’t be more grateful. I know not everyone has these support systems and I feel so blessed!
Also I cannot overlook the rock my husband has been. He has helped me by making sure I’m not the only one watching our baby. When he gets home he takes baby from me and lets me get things done. I’m a full time student on top of being a mom and working (self-inflicted torture I know
), so homework stacks up, but he makes sure I can get what needs doing done. This is my last semester and we’re getting through together!
I can’t imagine motherhood without my village! I think I’d literally go crazy![]()
