One of the most special parts of postpartum for me has been having my best friend by my side through it all. Our babies were born just one day apart in the same hospital, and ever since then, we’ve been constantly checking in on each other, navigating motherhood together one day at a time. One moment that will always stay with me was when she asked me how I was doing mentally on a day where I truly didn’t feel like myself. It may seem like a simple question, but in that moment it meant everything to me. I needed that support more than I realized, and the fact that she noticed something was off just from my responses meant the world. Postpartum can feel so overwhelming and lonely at times, but having someone who genuinely sees you, checks on you, and cares enough to ask the deeper questions is such a gift. I’m so grateful to have a friendship where we can support each other not only as moms, but as women trying to find ourselves again through this new chapter. thingsleftunsaid MotherhoodSupportMatters
