Gardening has always been my favorite hobby. It brings me so much peace. It’s like a meditation when I am watering and pruning my plants. I didn’t do a garden last year because I was too busy with my daughter. This year, I’m still pretty busy, but I found a way to make it work. I’m usually very organized in how I plant things, but I just planted all my plants into one flower bed and ignored all plant spacing rules. I have wayyy too many tomato plants lol. I’m excited just to have a garden again!! Every morning I take my daughter outside with me as I water and prune my plants. It takes a lot longer to do since I have to be attentive to her, but everything gets done slowly but surely! I need to find a toddler gardening set!

It’s amazing how we find ways to bring the things we love back into our lives, even if they look a little different now. I bet your daughter is going to grow up with the sweetest memories of helping you in the garden

We love to garden as well. We didn’t do one this year because we have a lot going on but I really miss it so next year we will definitely do one!

Oh my goodnes. That looks so great. Gardening has been in my back burner but my grandma and daughter were able to pot plant a tomato plant for me this year. I’m soo excited. What are you going to make with them??

That is so sweet! What a fun activity for them to do together! My husband cooks with a lot of tomatoes, but one thing we are definitely doing is fried green tomatoes. I haven’t had them in years, and they’re going to be soooo good!! What are you going to make with yours?

She mostly wants to pull up the plants for now lol. She splashes in the puddles in the soil too

Haha yes. My son will pick our fruit but pulls to hard and takes some that aren’t ready yet. But it’s the learning and bonding that make it magical

Stuffed squash blooms too 
We did a garden this year too! Just very low maintenance plants! I do a bunch of flowers in the spring and late summer when everything goes on sale lol. Going to the garden centers while on maternity leave was my therapy.

That is such a great reminder. I should have used it as a teachable moment. I was a little irritated she picked one of my developing tomatoes. But then she held onto that tomato for a good 30 minutes and was just so happy about it.

Aww thanks! My mother-in-law is the same way. She will buy a plant and forgets to water it. Then when it dies she just buys a new one lol
I got irritated too but I had to bite my tongue and teach him how to pick them.
