This has absolutely nothing to do with breastfeeding, but I just have to share because I am so frustrated
haha. I’ve been trying to put my son down for his nap for an hour now, and he is so exhausted! He’s having none of it! He’s pinching me, touching my face, laughing, and making noises… Basically, he’s fighting it… So I asked my husband for help. He takes the little guy, and 5 minutes later, he comes back to tell me he got him to sleep… I give up ![]()

That has happened to me before too and my husband was so proud of himself for getting the baby to sleep so I let him take the win
. It is so hard when they get over tired like that and with mine if I can tell it’s going to be a fight like that I put them in the car seat and ride around for a few minutes and they are normally asleep quickly and I go put them in their bed and we avoid the fight ![]()
I have tried going in the car but he wakes up as soon as I take him out of the car seat. I would love to know the trick.
I know the feeling some days are bad but trust me that one laugh will change everything.
The car doesn’t work on my son too. He’s so curious, he will fight to stay awake! He loves to watch what is going on outside ![]()
Oh no my oldest did that too but it was rare that she napped
This happens to us too! When my son gets like this I was told a change or environment can help! Like we take him outside and he instantly calms down and sleeps
It’s so wild and maybe it’s like that with switching parents too !
When my daughter does this, I put her in the crib so she can get her overtired energy out. When she starts whining, I pick her up and try again. It works a lot of the time. Either that or I will just play with her for a little bit and then try again. It depends on whether it’s nap time or the middle of the night
