Anyone have a babe around 10/11 months? What is your nap schedule? My boy is fighting them so hard lately. A feed before helps but not always.

If I remember correctly, my daughter switched to one nap a day around this time. She was awake for around 5 hours at a time. It might be worth trying

@Barb @Jessica2 I don’t know if yall are going by the whole wake window thing online, but I learned the hard way that my daughter does not follow the rules! The chart online says she should be awake 4.5 hours, but she’s always awake 5-6 hours lately. When she turned a year old, I decided to stop fighting her and I learned to read her sleepy cues, which is tricky at first. I watch for bags under the eyes(this is the main one!), crankiness, yawning, and sometimes what I call the sleepy roar(her voice gets really loud and obnoxious), and the drunk walk. It has made such a difference! She still fights bedtime when she’s tired sometimes, so what I do is put her in her crib to get all that energy out. I tell her night night, and she will play around and lay down every so often and start to dose off then jerk back awake. I’m hoping she will one day fall asleep on her own. After 5-10 minutes, she gets whiny, so I take her out and Im able to then nurse her to sleep.

I wanna say we switched form 2 naps a day to just 1 around 12 months old. But I read that most babies are doing 2 naps at that age. Naptime and bedtime can be so tricky to figure out. If he’s fighting it, I would try letting him play for 30 minutes and then try again…and repeat until you find what works. That’s what I did before I learned her sleepy cues. I still get it wrong sometimes lol

At that age my son was also fighting naps. I found letting him nap in a pack and play close by to me helped. He just wanted to be near me as if he though he would miss something
