When my son was born be would spit up as soon as we laid him down. We learned that we needed to keep him upright for 10-20 minutes after every feed to help!
Whether you’re breastfeeding or bottle feeding you need to burp your baby! Every baby is different though and figuring out how to burp them can be challenging. Best rule is to try to rotate the air out. If shoulder burping and knee bouncing isn’t working try just tilting them in different directions!
If your baby is really gassy or spitting up a lot try burping in the middle of feedings. Sometimes the spitup is caused by trapped gas before feedings. In extreme cases burping before feedings can also help
