My best advice is to give yourself grace listen to your body and intuition and also know you are doing great ! It’s a process and a transition but you are going to be amazing

I would say to follow your intuition as well. Try to breastfeed as often as possible to establish your milk supply. If your baby is crying and their diaper is clean and they’re not in pain, breastfeeding usually works. It is normal for breastfeeding to be painful for the first few weeks, so don’t let that discourage you. Know that you will not be getting much sleep for awhile. They wake up ever 1-2 hours during the newborn stage…sometimes they wake up like that for longer like my 16 month old does. Your body will mostly get used to the new sleeping pattern after awhile. It can be difficult to be away from your new baby or if you don’t have someone to watch the baby, so if you need a bath, take one with your baby in your arms and clean both of you. I’d get a bouncer so you can set your baby down when you have to go to the bathroom. When they outgrow the bouncer, you can use a booster seat. Make sure your baby gets plenty of floor time. If you place them into baby contraptions like activity centers, swings, etc longer than 20 minutes at a time, their muscles can develop improperly. Try to get some rest when you can and try not to take on too much outside of caring for your baby. It takes a little while to get the hang of things. I know this is a lot. But just know that you’ve got this and your going to be such a great mom

Welcome to the group. I’m so happy to have you here. My biggest piece of advice is to not be afraid to ask for help everything that feels challenging is challenging. Your feelings are are valid even if some people in your life say oh that’s normal…. Parents that have kids from some time ago tend to forget how hard things are at the newborn and toddler stage so it’s best to connect with people that have babies right now and use this group as a great resource.
