Post partum body

I always feel incredibly beautiful during pregnancy. I don’t mind the extra weight because I know what I’m doing is amazing. I actually don’t ever feel more beautiful than when I’m pregnant. That’s how much I enjoy pregnancy and seeing my Body grow.

But after having my 5th delivery, I feel huge and certainly not beautiful. I haven’t stepped on a scale since before delivery(7/8 weeks). I know I can’t diet since I’m breastfeeding but seeing pictures of myself yesterday from my son’s birthday party shook me good today!

I’m going to remind myself this is only temporary and well worth the cost to give my son breast milk.

If anyone else is feeling like me, just know you’re not alone. We’re ’taking One for the team’ if you will. We’ll get our bodies back one day. We’re doing great things for our babies. Keep on keeping on.:face_blowing_a_kiss::folded_hands:t4:

I feel this! You are beautiful momma and your body just did something so amazing! Give yourself grace I know it is easier said than done. I am struggling with my postpartum body as well right now, when I saw pictures of myself from our family vacation this week I realized how much weight I had put on and it was hard to see but I know that I can work to get it off after I wean my baby and right now my body is nourishing her and that’s worth all the extra weight.

Your body is doing something amazing, you’re right it’s only temporary! You are beautiful inside and out :heart_hands:t3:

Our bodies are very strong and are beautiful regardless of our size. Pregnancy for sure taught me to love myself even after all the stretch marks, the weight gain and losing a lot of my hair. I created a beautiful baby and for me I’ll do it all over again.

I feel you! I don’t like looking at pictures of myself. It’s getting better with breathing exercises

I saw your comment and post earlier! Def gonna try that. The video didn’t help me much, left me confused. But when you posted to inhale through your nose and pull belly in then exhale and push out as far as you could, that makes complete sense and I could understand it. So I’m gonna try! How many times a day and how long do you doc that? I def have severe diastasis recti.

I feel this in my bones and I say the same thing. As soon as I have the tiniest calorie deficit or work out …milk disappears. It’s only temporary.

My one mom friend looks fantastic and I was super sad one day and she reminded that she had kids earlier than me. Right now, I’m in my feeding era and my body is doing the amazing things it is, and to remember that. And it stuck with me!

Yes our bodies are!! Trying not to Think about it. We have to think about the wonderful things we are doing :smiling_face_with_three_hearts::face_blowing_a_kiss::heart: not for nothing, my milk has like 1/2 inch of water when I leave it in a bottle in the fridge. 5 or 6 oz bottle and half an inch is water. So that’s a good visual reminder !
