I bave been spreading the word as a very important tip about how postpartum can truly be a much milder and smoother process. In my case, I’m a person who loves and needs details and so much information to function, and that ended up matching me with my Doula. Every person (cause daddies involved learn a lot from them too) should know about a Doula’s work and how her knowledge can be key to overcome things like guilt, baby blues, issues with structuring a routine with your partner and to be able to welcome the “matresence” phase with dignity. Postpartum was not meant to be experienced alone, it takes a village for a woman to recover not just physically, but mentally and emotionally. So make sure to get your info about Doulas around but also to create your own safety circle of people who are willing to help!
