Yesterday I loaded up what seemed like everything and the kitchen sink and hit the road with just me and my two month old to go visit my sister and watch my niece graduate preschool. I thought I had planned it perfectly to where we’d stop halfway just in time for when she’d wake up hungry, then she’d fall back asleep, and we’d make it the rest of the way to our destination. Well… not so much. We made it an hour and a half down the road and had to stop for about 45 minutes for a feed, diaper change, and lots of bicycles to get some gas out. We made it another 20 minutes before we had to stop again and that stop lasted an hour. We ended up getting caught in rush hour traffic and she made it another two hours before we had to stop again. If it wasn’t one thing, it was another. Our 4.5 hour road trip turned in to 8! With my tshirt covered with spilled milk and spit up, three bottles, five diapers, two pump sessions later we finally made it! I knew we could do it and thank God we did, but man it would’ve been nice to have my husband or quite literally anyone to share the load. Traveling with a baby is not for the weak. I’m beyond impressed with those who travel with multiple kids

you did it though!!! I’m impressed with YOU!!! I have had to go an hour away and that has been insane so I can’t even imagine how you felt but YOU DID IT!!! proud as heck of you
You did it momma! Proud of you I’m sorry it was so rough and I’m praying the trip back for you is easier!
It’s definitely crazy how often you have to stop with a baby. Our road trips take twice as long too! You hope they will sleep most of the ride, but that rarely works out. Glad y’all made it safely!
Im glad you made it, even thoughit took longer. my two little ones only last 2 hours before they completly loose it. One of my teen does competitions and the furthest was 2.5 hours and we always leave early because I already know nothing calms them past the 2 hours. We have a wedding next month I’m I’m debating if we should even go. Most places dont have changing places thankfully they sleep though loud music but so much for me to pump and be their bed for so long![]()
