Still Me

When I was 16 I self taught myself how to crochet as a coping mechanism. I’m now 25 and still use it as a coping mechanism but now also enjoyment!

My younger sister recently gave me a crochet kit project to do for her. It’s been almost a year since I’ve done any crocheting. I got my kiddos to sleep last night, put my earbuds, wearable pumps on, and started crocheting.

I didn’t even realize how much I missed doing it! how much I missed turning a ball of yarn into something beautiful. Now I’m on Etsy looking for more to do after this one!

It may take me longer to complete the project now that I have 5 kids but I absolutely love doing it still!

I feel like it brings back a small piece (and peace ) of me before I had kids

Below is a blanket I made my mom (my first ever project!)

A blanket and pillow I made my kids grandmother

A blanket I made my recent baby

The project she has me doing now :face_with_peeking_eye: it’s going to be Stitch!

This is amazing and I love the colors especially the one in the bottom right, the yellow and blue. I had a crotchet machine when I was like 15/16, it didn’t last long before I gave up lol. I’m so glad you are able to get back too it though because that’s talent. :yarn::white_heart:

That’s beautiful! Crochet has defiantly been my thing AGAIN with this pregnancy. With my first it was crochet and sewing. Now with my second/third I’ve found my way back! I’ve been making so many teddy bears :teddy_bear: I need to make the girls blankets before they get here!

Aww, I try my best to be genuine and as connected as possible. I love this community and the mamas behind it. It might get harder as this community grows later, but I’ll always remember the people I’ve connected with from the very beginning and continue to cherish those connections along the way. :growing_heart:
