Summer Goal 🌞

A small goal I have for this summer is birthing a healthy baby boy as natural as I can. And getting this gestational diabetes under control before I meet with my doctor again in two weeks so I won’t have to get on medication. Which I’ve been doing good this week and meet with my dietician tomorrow. momcozyteamparents

She shows how to pair different foods and how to balance your sugars she was so helpful!

A tip that always worked for me was pairing a lot of protein with heavier carbs and eating the protein first and carbs last.

I am sorry you are having to deal with gestational diabetes it is so hard I had it with all 3 of mine but had to start the diet as soon as I found out I was pregnant with my 2nd and 3rd. You have got this momma!

Ouuu thank you I will go look at that asap. That’s such a great idea to eat protein first then carbs, I never thought about that. This is very helpful, I appreciate it. :growing_heart:

You’re the best!:white_heart: I’m due Aug 19th but last week my doc said I’m measuring a week ahead. Hint on getting my sugars together so he won’t get too big.

If my sugar was high I would drink a protein shake and drink tons of water and it would seem to help it come back down faster.

Aww lol, yes I just don’t want a C-section so I have a lot of work to do.

I will also keep that in mind, see this why I love this community. I also found the other day when I was moving and did all that walking my levels were pretty low. My feet were hurting by the end of the night but I can just get a foot massager if it will help my levels and honestly will help labor too.

Im so glad I could help a little. When I was diagnosed with my 1st the dietician was supposed to set an appointment a couple of days later but they didn’t call and thankfully the weekend I was diagnosed I went to visit my sister and one of her friends was a nurse and lactation consultant and she gave me so much advice about my gestational diabetes so I didn’t have to make an appointment and I was so thankful for her. I just mainly ate low carb/ keto and added in a few more carbs if I needed them.
