Swimming!

We finally got a chance to use the pool! Baby girl had such a blast! My husband and I had so much fun watching her splash around. She loves the inflatable elephant…it even has a button to push to make it trumpet! She’s crazy about the ball, but always pushes the inflatable dinosaur away. I had to keep stopping her from drinking the water. I get in there with her, so I think we’re gonna need a bigger pool!

Thanks! Yeah, it’s definitely crazy how fast she’s growing!

It really does suck. The other day she dunked her entire face into a bucket full of water. She started choking and I had to pound on her back. This water stage is scary sometimes

Oh it’s one of my biggest fears. I have a strict rule about my kids not being in water when my husband and I aren’t around and his family got aggravated about it buy it’s not worth something happening to one of my kids to please them.

I can’t believe they would be aggravated about that! Things happen so fast, and that could be a life or death situation!

I told them to look up secondary drowning and they let it go after that.

Aww, that sounds like so much fun! :smiling_face_with_three_hearts: It maybe small now but she sounds like such a water baby already and she’s having fun. That’s all that matter :heart_hands:

I started at 5 months old because that was when her first summer started. I held her the entire time and she loved it! I would probably wait until 2-3 months old since they’re more aware during that time, but you could start at any age really. Just be careful not to stay out too long because you can’t put sunscreen on them until 6 months old. So set up the pool in the shade if you can and stay out maybe 20 minutes at a time. That worked out pretty well for us and she never got sunburned.

My baby is just loving the water right now too ! Love seeing the big splashes
