So a few months ago during national woman’s day actually Momcozy set up a whole series on knowing your rights, they have an amazing tool book I will link in the comments but they also put on this webinar on the Pump act and knowing our rights for pumping in the work place. It always baffles my mind when I hear stories about workplace situations and bosses not accommodating their pumping employees probably or even asking them to pump in the bathroom!! That’s absolutely insane to me and completely unethical. So I figured what better time to remind mamas who may be close to returning to work that they not only have rights but they have support and one more reason to love Momcozy is they are here to help navigate these questions and concerns. Seriously when it comes to pumping it’s a biological necessity to allow us a clean space to express our milk for our babies in a timely manner.

That’s what I’m going for! I have heard more stories than I would have liked of just horrible completely wrong situations happening to moms retiring to work and the lack of knowledge about what rights they have to fight the situation! I just hope this helps more moms!!!
Oh yes thank you for sharing this reminder, this is amazing! I totally agree, it’s like cooking in a bathroom, no one does that, so why should a mother preparing food for her child have too!

I’m so nervous to go back to work as a pumping mom. I haven’t yet told my employer that I’ll need pumping breaks but I really hope they understand and are chill!

Yes ma’am. They need to do better in the workplace. But I love the ones that provide clean and amazing spaces that I’ve seen like airports, college campuses, etc. I seen some nice ones.
