One HUGE milestone I never want to forget is the first day my son got to feel the sunshine after his major surgery. :white_heart::sun:

That moment meant so much more than just stepping outside. It represented strength, healing & how far he had already come. It took a lot of preparation, including pain medication, getting in & out of bed beforehand, to make sure he was comfortable & ready.

Watching him experience that moment is something I will always carry with me. Through everything he has faced, he continued to amaze me. He is resilient, strong, brave & somehow still the happiest, silliest little boy.

I am so incredibly proud of him!! Not just for what he has overcome, but for the strength he shows every single day. My baby has taught me so much about courage, perseverance & finding joy even in the hardest moments. :brown_heart: I will always remember the sun on this day.
