Van

This summer we are hoping to get a Chrysler Pacifica van an older model. Currently have an SUV, but I will have my niece with me all summer. She can fit between my boys but it isn’t comfortable. She prefers the front seat but she is only 12 years old. Also I’m tired of having to get my oldest in through the back because someone parked to close.

Moms with vans how do you like it? What’s your favoritiest feature?

I have a Honda Odyssey and love it! I was so against being a van mom but we had an SUV and it wouldn’t fit all of our kids so we had to get something different. I couldn’t justify a Tahoe or expedition because I drive so much and would spend so much money on gas especially with prices going up and test drove the vans and loved the Honda! I love the removable middle seat, and that I have a track and can move the second row anywhere I want it and all of the second row seats are removable . The back seats fold down and we have so much room. My favorite feature is the cabin watch where I can see all the seats from the front I use it to make sure the baby is ok while I’m driving and it is amazing! The sliding doors are AMAZING as well!

That’s awesome! They have so many different features. I kinda like the idea of being able to see what’s going on with the kids. I’ve heard some even have a vacuum built in

Mine doesn’t but I bought a little hand held vacuum for it and have floor mats that are removable so it’s easy to clean. It is neat some of the features the vans have now

Oh that’s smart. I do have a mini vacuum that we aren’t using

The hard part was convincing my husband. Now it’s finding one we both like. We have test driven some, but so far we are still looking. My son wants a blue one which makes it hard to find. Which ones are you leaning towards more?

Hold on my partner has been the one looking let me ask him what his top picks are

We want something we can kinda build out and travel in !!! Tent sleeping is great but having a van with a bed and storage is something we’ve always wanted to do again! We use to have a camper but we sold it before I found out I was pregnant :woman_facepalming:

You can take all the seats out on the second row of mine and you can fold the back seats down and it lays flat so it would be good for camping in they say you can lay a piece of plywood in the back and it fits  but we aren’t going to try it

Hahaha Rachel your recommendations are the best and that’s exactly what we want some poly bios and a bed! Omg perfect!

I don’t drive, lol! :see_no_evil_monkey: But just hearing about the cramped seating and the parking struggle makes me want you to get that van. Sliding doors are perfect when people park too close! I hope you get your Pacifica this summer!

The Pacific 2nd and 3rd rows fold down completely. Which is a nice feature for camping.

I just saw that a reel came up on my Fb and it looked nice. We didn’t get to look at them because they don’t have a dealership around where I live. I test drove the Toyota sienna as well but preferred the Honda for all the extras and to me it drove smoother

I would love to get a van! I’d want one of the ones with the automatic door and a built in tv. I’d convert the very back into a bed so we can let our baby run around more easily when we stop on road trips

I know right. We almost got a SUV last Christmas with 3 rows. But I’ve been stuck getting my 4 year old in through the trunk way to many times. I can barely manage to buckle him up some times. My husband is finally on board with a van which is a huge win. It will make going places so much easier

I hope you’re able to get a van soon! That sounds rough having to get him out through the trunk!
