What I wish I knew as a FTM

What I wish I knew as a ftm when it came to pumping was how important flange sizing is! It gets even deeper than just flange size, like using the correct shape, material(silicone or hard plastic), and if you have elastic nipples then you’ll need longer flanges! Once I found the correct flanges and size I’ve had very successful pumping journeys I’ve even helped many other moms out on their journeys as well:pink_heart:

I wish someone would have told me as well it would have been so helpful.

Yesss! With my first breastfeeding journey I had noooooo idea and I ended up scaring my left nipple sooooo bad! Until after the dr appointment I found out I was doing it all wrong:face_with_peeking_eye:

Yesss this! I was sized at birth to a 19mm, for 3 months I had no idea why it was hurting, supply dipped, and it got so hard to empty. Whole time I was using a flange size way to big because my size changed!
