I wish I was told more about postpartum depression and pumping !!! With my first being a mom was a breeze but with my second it was really hard ! I struggled through PPD . I went through a really hard break up that led to lots of courts , fights . Had my daughter at 38 weeks because of all the stress. I didn’t know it was post partum until after I went to 90 lbs . I wouldn’t take care of myself only my kids . Worked extra shifts to get money . And since I had extra shifts I would just combo feed formula and breastmilk when I was home . I was never an overproducer so my milk wouldn’t be super high I would feel them get full . Maybe cuz of stress?? But I wish I knew about pumping so I would have pumped and had milk for my baby meanwhile I worked instead of buying formula .
Sometimes I think venting about these years of my life helps . So I’m hoping I didn’t Trigger anyone
You are so strong. And jab he such a beautiful family. I wish I knew more about ppd. I got pregnant with my second when I was 7 months pp and ended up getting ppd then. I didn’t really realize it until my doctor told me that I’m losing to much weight and putting baby at risk. I’d do crazy hire it just sneaks up on us
Thank you for being open to share your experience, you’re not alone. I’m glad you were comfortable and felt safe to share. Talking about it really does help. You are amazing and doing a very great job.
Thank you for sharing your story so vulnerably, you absolutely aren’t triggering anyone. You did an incredible job surviving that immense stress and protecting your babies. Please give yourself so much grace.
You are incredibly strong. Thank you for sharing your story. I hope there is more education on postpartum depression and pumping too. Being a mom is hard but when you add in outside stresses it can be incredibly challenging.
I struggle reading posts that are so hard like this. You’re such a strong mama and yes, I wish you would’ve been done better by the doctors in the system. Depression is so hard. I had it as well and I even hallucinated at one point. You’re such a strong mama you have done such amazing things. Remember to tell yourself that every day.
Yes I was super young when this happened and I just feel like they should have appointments for breastfeeding/ pumping or refer you to a lactationist before you have baby so you can know everything !
Thank you ! I can make a full book on those two years of my life ! But yes it made me into a strong independent mom I wouldn’t switch it for anything ! So now that I’m with this new partner and baby it’s like a way different experience
