With me giving birth in the next few months, I’m heavily aiming for a natural birth of course. Although I know anything can happen when the time comes, I’m going to try my best to stay the natural route. My initial plan was waterbirth although I haven’t been able to find one that my insurance will cover. What kind of birth did you mommies have? Did it go the way you wanted? What changed your birth plan? No matter how you gave birth, you’re still amazing!

Oh ok that’s still natural in my eyes with extra support. Any back pain? I hear for some mommies it causes later back pain.

I agree I still view it as natural too 
and no back pain luckily for me just sciatic pain from pregnancy

And absolutely yes it went just the way I wanted. I’m toooooooo scared to have a natural birth I don’t think I have it in me
That’s why I feel like god new me well and set me up
I can only have c sections due to medical reasons im so thankful for
Yes recovery can be rough for a bit but I can’t see myself having a natural birth

C-section here!
I planned for a natural birth and was induced at exactly 40 weeks. I got the epidural, and have had no back problems. Totally healthy pregnancy all the way. I had a birth plan and everything. My baby started to struggle breathing when turning into position because it turns out my cervix is too small, so I had to have an emergency C-section. It was scary, but prayer got me through it. I was able to stay calm and it was a very surreal experience. If you have to go this route for some reason, don’t be freaked out when they start jerking you around like they’re wrestling an alligator. They had to get my baby out fast, and it was so wild! There was a few interns in there during the C-section, so I had a whole audience…which normally would have bothered me because I’m very shy, but I didn’t care at all.

Your amazing too. With my first forceps 
his cord was wrapped around his neck and every push was dropping his heart rate. They gave me the option for forceps, vaccume or c section. I asked the doctor what was the way they thought they could get him out the safest with out c section. I had over 10 people ready to wheel me in for a C-section. Thankfully it wasn’t needed. With my second natural . Both kids with induction and epidurals. I had gestational diabetes for both so they were a week early

Wow ok that’s one of my fears I try not to worry about is the cord around the neck. Although I hear it’s pretty normal during birth. It’s just scary at my last ultrasound (outside my OB) my baby was holding the umbilical cord. I try to to worry. I also have gestational diabetes so I will keep that in mind I might deliver earlier although I was hoping he stays in a lil longer to be a Virgo like me lol. Thank you for sharing and glad through the setbacks you were still able to deliver natural. That’s a blessing.

I had all 4 of my girls naturally and with no pain meds. I will say for my last one the nurse had me go on all four and that made my pain so bad I did ask for the gas. The thing is Right when they were going to go order it My baby popped out

The team kept it from me until after I delivered. They didn’t want me to get upset. They were super professional. With gestational diabetes talk to your doctor or midwife about milk expressing before birth. If your babies blood sugar drops they will give donor milk or formula. I started hand expressing at 36 w with my first and 37 w with my second. Had them both at 38 w. I was able to bring in a few oz to top them both up at the hospital. It also took a lot of stress away. I knew I could feed them.

Wow so going on all four was painful for you? That’s interesting. And what a coincidence baby came right out and you didn’t need the gas after all. What a blessing. That’s amazing.
Yeah I’ve been watching a show on mothers giving birth. I’ve seen it quite a few times, they take the umbilical cord off fast and professional. I’ve also been to a few breastfeeding classes and will ask at my next appointment what my doctor thinks about the hand expression before baby comes. Thanks for sharing.
