When did you know you needed help

I hate to air my business and I won’t give details but I’ve been crying a lot lately. Daily and multiple times a day. I’m not too proud to admit when I know something’s wrong and might need help. How do I know when it’s normal and when I need further help? I’m considering medication but I really don’t want to do that. My newborn is a true God send. It’s my other kids that are getting on my nerves and I can’t control my emotions or behavior. Thank you

I don’t think there is a not normal and normal I think there are a lot of ups and downs trials and tribulations in motherhood and humanhood you know?

I think it’s totally valid to feel these feelings meditation is wonderful but it you do feel you need extra support there is no shame in fact I feel everyone could benefit from a little extra help! I know I do! I see a perinatal therapist and it’s amazing

That sounds really neat, a perinatal therapist. I will definitely look into that. Thank you Jessica :face_blowing_a_kiss:

I’m sorry you’re going through this! It’s so hard to tell when it’s normal or not because of all the hormones from having your baby. I think I had 3 months of intense hormones before things started to even out a bit. I’m still much more emotional than I used to be with a 19 month old. I used to be so in control of my emotions pre pregnancy, but now i feel like a teenager sometimes and just lose it. It sucks

Thank you mom:heart: he’s 2.5 months old so I’m hoping 3 is my number too. I just don’t feel like myself. Super annoyed and irritable with my older ones and I feel like complete crap about it. It hurts to know I’m not ME. Thanks for sharing sis :face_blowing_a_kiss::smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

Thank you momma:heart::heart: I’m trying. The week has gotten better:heart:

Awww I remember this to freshly. So dr told me to expect to cry for a couple of weeks. If uncontrollably though to go to the er. Oddly I was uncontrollably crying as she said that and discharged me from delivery. (It was odd).

I would say, if you are feeling too much, I won’t hurt to call the dr. You don’t have to start meds if your don’t want to, and you may not even need them. It might just be good to speak to someone out loud. To get your thoughts out of your head. I had an early postpartum visit with my obgyn bc of how my first postpartum went.

Sending you all the love. Also, I’m happy to talk to you anyyy time. I just don’t know how we find each other!!

Sorry I’m creeping all the comments :two_hearts::two_hearts:. At 2.5 months it may be postpartum depression creeping in on you. You are strong. Call the dr to talk about it, let’s a therapist on the schedule (ask for virtual so you can figure out the the schedule easier) and then be honest with your partner. For me , a serious cry session helped and then this sounds weird…but recoding a video talking out loud helped me. Like a virtual journal.
