I wish I didn’t have to feel guilty for wanting time for myself. Almost every day I stay up late while the baby is sleeping just so I can have that, and I’m tired the next day. In order to win something as a mom, you also have to lose something, like this for example. I win time for myself, while I lose sleep at night and feel so tired since we as moms can’t sleep in anymore. We can never just win. These are definitely late night thoughts.

Are we the same person!? Haha no it must be universal, I stay up late so I can do exactly this! Just have me time! I feel guilty all the time too for just even wanting a long bath or a shower. But there is nothing to feel guilty about it’s just us being human. I think it gets better eventually but wow I wish I could sleep in. I need to get better about going to sleep at a decent hour 🤣 sometimes I pass out when my baby goes to sleep but not lately

It gets a little better as they get older. I get an hour during nap time and an hour or so after bedtime, and my baby is 15 months old. She still gets up at 5:30-6 every morning though. I didnt start getting me time until she was around a year old. Hopefully it will get better soon!

As a mom of 3 I stay up late sometimes to have a moment to myself and then instantly regret it in the morning when it’s time to get up
