You Matter

Since having a baby, sometimes I feel left behind. I love my family so very much but they joke A LOT like “we can’t wait to see the baby and oh haha we like to see you too” or “just drop the baby off with us and well I guess you can stay too”. Small jokes that I know they don’t mean anything by and I do know they love me and my baby, but sometimes I just feel forgotten and if I don’t have the baby with me I don’t really matter. Yesterday I had just left from visiting family and heard the same jokes over and I was just ready to be home. I put on my pumps and hit the road not in the best mood. I had a Starbucks gift card and decided I needed a little something for myself for the drive home. I teared up when the barista handed me my drink and written on the side “you matter”. God sends the sweetest reminders through the kindest strangers all in His timing:heart: momcozyteamparents

I will never understand why people think that is ok or funny to say, my mother in law always says we are here to see the baby, we aren’t worried about yall and yall can go do something and leave the kids here if yall want to and laughs. My husband looked at her one day and said well aren’t you nice. I’m sorry your family is making you feel that way joking or not it’s still hurtful and you do matter! I love when God sends me the sweetest reminders it turns my day around!
