Any mommies failed their 1hour glucose test and had to do the 3hour one. I go in for the 3hr in the a.m because my 1hr was elevated. The drink was not bad at all, I mentioned this before in a previous post… buttt I heard the 3hr is a lil worse and much more thick so I’m a bit nervous. Fingers crossed I pass and the 1hr was a mistake. Although I have been eating lots of carbs. Any suggestions? MotherhoodSupportMatters

I ended up doing the three hour one and the drink tasted like sprite to me honestly I didn’t think it was bad, what was bad was fasting pregnant

The 3 hr drink wasn’t that bad the one tip I have is to bring a straw with you because it helps you get it down faster and bring something to entertain you because you will be bored waiting for each finger stick. Praying that you pass. I had to do the 3 hr test with my first and failed. I failed at the 1 hr test at 8 weeks pregnant with my 2nd and didn’t do the 3 hr and with my last I monitored my sugars before my 1st apt and failed 
so I did the diet the entire pregnancy but it wasn’t so bad. You’ve got this momma!

The drink tasted fine to me, refreshing actually. I think it was lime flavored. Just be prepared to feel nauseous and get the sweats. Thats what happened to me. I’d bring a portable fan and some water with you if possible.

My first pregnancy I failed the one hour and passed the three hour one.
my second pregnancy i did pass the one hour one.
Im glad you liked the drink tho because me it twists my stomach so bad i cant 
You’re right, it wasn’t that bad. It was just as the said like the 1hr but a lil more sugar. I did almost puke at the last 2m, but they brought me something to fan myself, then I was ok and finished. Didn’t realized I was going to get poked 4xs though. And yes by the end I was very hangry! But I survived lol, I just got up from a nap, I was tired!
Wow you did the 1hr test so early or is it actually early I’m not sure because this is my first time lol. I did my 1hr at 24w and the 3hr today at 25w. Thank you, I also hope I pass. I had a few calls and things I had to do while I waited, but yes after that second hour I’m like okkkkk getting hungry here lol

You are exactly correct, with the 1hr I immediately got hot. Then again with the 3hr one today, at the last 2m I almost had to puke but they brought me something to fan myself with which gave me a quick break and I finished. Would’ve been great if it was cold like it was when I did the 1hr. I did have water with me and it helped a lot. 
I did it super early because I knew I had it before and was having symptoms early on when they did the test I failed it that early so My dr wanted me to make sure I could control it with diet and not need insulin. Normally they don’t do it that early.

I didn’t have to do the 3 hour but I threw up immigrating after drinking my first so I had to come back and redo it drinking the one hour again. Not fun but for a good cause.

So you end up passing when you went back for the 1hr? They didn’t offer you a nausea pill before you drunk it? My doctor offered me the pill for nausea at the 1hr but I declined.
