A Balancing Act

Before I got married and became a mom, my life revolved mostly around work. I am a community pharmacist, and have been in the same location for over 10 years. My days are long, busy, and often stressful. But caring for others by offering advice, medications, or sometimes just a listening ear has made this much more than just a job for me.

I returned to work this past spring after having my second baby, and that transition was much different than after having my first because I was still pumping. My oldest was completely formula-fed, while my youngest has been combo-fed from the beginning. My entire pumping journey was new territory for me, and I was anxious over my return to double shifts and weekend work.

Momcozy has supported me through this transition, and at 9+ months postpartum, I’m still able to pump for my baby. My Air 1 has a permanent place in my work bag and is the pump I use exclusively at work. Slim, discreet, and controlled from my phone, it lets pumping fit seamlessly into my busy days. I’ll use my milk cooler to store milk until I can bring it home to bottle it for the next day, or bag and freeze it with my small stash.

But more than that, it’s the supportive and welcoming community that has made all the differences. I am honored to share my story and what I’ve learned, and have always been welcomed into discussions and activities.

Thank you, Momcozy!
