One thing I hope this Support List doesn’t leave out is that preparing for a baby is not only about buying clothes and diapers. Pregnant moms also deserve emotional preparation for feeding, recovery, broken sleep, and all the unexpected feelings that can come after birth.
My tip for every new mom is to prepare a small support plan before the baby arrives. Choose someone you can call, keep water and easy snacks nearby, create a comfortable feeding space, and remember that breastfeeding, pumping, formula, or combination feeding can all be part of caring for your baby. You do not have to struggle alone or have everything figured out.
As I share my tips a few hours before the end of this campaign, I also want to thank all the moms and especially @Jessica2@Jess3@Barb@Naee@Angel@Tori3@mama91@Katie11@Rachel5 in this community for your love, kindness, and support. You have helped make this a safe place where mothers can be honest, ask questions, and feel understood. Thank you, @momcozy, for creating this virtuel but freaking real community and bringing us together.
To every pregnant mom and mom reading this: you are allowed to feel grateful, emotional, exhausted, and unsure all at once. What is one thing you wish someone had told you before your baby arrived? Share it below so we can continue supporting one another. tipsworthadding
This is such a valid tip! I thought I was prepared and had prepped enough but I put a lot of focus and energy into things that just weren’t necessary at the time and wish I had done a little more for myself!
Ugh this post made me tear up AND YOU!!! you made this space so warm and beautiful and one of my favorite online communities I’ve ever been apart of you are such a huge role in that and I’ll be forever grateful to you for that!!! Thankyou so much mama you are such a beautiful soul
Yesss! I love being able to read your post! You are so kind and supportive I’m so glad you’re apart of this community and I’ve gotten the chance to Interact with you and continue to! You are the absolute sweetest. You look so beautiful!!
Thank you for the tag and for sharing such an important reminder! My biggest piece of advice to new moms is to take things one day (and one feed) at a time. Every stage is temporary, and you’re doing better than you think. So lucky to have connected with all of you here!
Awwwe! I’m happy I could make you feel understood and supported. I hear you loud and clear. You never know what a person is going through. I’m happy I can be part of your human experience and I’ll do my best to be part of your village to make the mental load of motherhood lighter. I want to remind you, you’re doing great!
