As moms, we are busy with the baby (or babies), and maybe, we have some time for ourselves. But, what have you done for someone else? Believe me, I didn’t do much early on with a newborn, but I found out that I could donate breastmilk to the NICU at the hospital I delivered my baby at. I was a “just enougher” with a little extra milk.
For Thanksgiving and her first birthday, we made a special trip to donate milk. Not that the baby will remember, but that was our act of kindness - to help the little babies grow with some nutritious milk and share what little extra we had.
I really like this post because it really does show the importance of showing kindness. What I did is I donated a lot of my baby shower items I did not need or already had to a local woman’s shelter that focuses on helping new moms that are low income.
Awww that is a wonderful idea and very thoughtful act of kindness. I love it!
That reminded me: my pastor went to the Congo on a mission trip and always takes baby onesies and cloth diapers. I had extra new ones that I gave him. There are so many women and babies in need.
